About East Peak Resort

East Peak Resort (EPR) is a new development created to transform Valdez and Southwest Alaska into a year-round destination for travelers and residents alike.

Mission: To provide Valdez and the greater Southwest Alaska region with a four-season resort offering premium experiences for both cruise ship visitors in the summer and adventure-seekers during the winter months.

Vision: To build a vibrant resort community nestled below a future base village, anchored by premier hotels, mountain lodges, and world-class guest experiences — all surrounded by Alaska’s breathtaking wilderness.

Goals: Our aim is to deliver a sustainable, year-round destination that offers cruise ship passengers and seasonal travelers a new and unforgettable way to experience Alaska — one that’s available only in Valdez.

Ownership: East Peak Resort is majority owned by local Valdez entrepreneurs, ensuring the project remains rooted in the community, driven by local passion, and aligned with the region’s long-term growth and prosperity.
