EPR Supports
East Peak Resort (EPR) is committed to building more than a world-class mountain destination — we aim to strengthen the infrastructure that connects Valdez to the rest of Alaska and the world. By partnering with local, state, and private stakeholders, EPR is actively supporting critical transportation and access projects that will ensure the long-term success and accessibility of the region.
Airport: EPR is a strong advocate for expanding Valdez Airport services, including the development of instrument approach capabilities to improve reliability in all weather conditions. Our long-term goal is to see regular Alaska Airlines 737 service to and from Valdez, connecting visitors and residents with major hubs across the state and beyond.
Hydroplane Port: EPR will support the establishment of charter hydroplane services, offering guests and residents unique, flexible travel options and scenic access to the region by air and water.
Helidrome: In addition to building its own helidrome, EPR will designate a limited number of exclusive residential lots with private helicopter landing access, providing unparalleled convenience for premium property owners and adventure operators.
Marine Highway: EPR is a dedicated supporter of the Alaska Marine Highway System, which plays a crucial role in connecting Valdez to coastal communities and enhancing the overall travel experience for visitors arriving by sea.
Richardson Highway: Working closely with state agencies, EPR is committed to supporting the highest level of avalanche forecasting and mitigation efforts on Thompson Pass, ensuring that this vital route remains safe and serviceable throughout the winter season.
Through these initiatives,
East Peak Resort is helping build the essential infrastructure that will fuel Valdez’s transformation into a world-class, year-round destination.
